There's magic in this valley, I swear it must be true,
How else could I explain the day that I found you?
In a lodge by a stream, somewhere in a dream,
We fell in love to the strains of an old country waltz,
By a window with a view, at a table for two,
We both lost all track of time as we danced and we talked.
I never will forget the look in your eyes,
The smell of your perfume, the sound of your sighs,
Loving you loving me, it's easy to see,
Why we still love these Hill Country Nights.
Looking back through the years, through the joys and the tears,
We could blame it on the moon and on that magic night,
But I wouldn't trade one day for any other way,
Than how we've shared the time since I first held you tight.
I never will forget the look in your eyes,
The smell of your perfume, the sound of your sighs,
Loving you loving me, it's easy to see,
Why we still love these Hill Country Nights
